Gratitude on the go! 3-26-13

Today I am grateful for:
-Another amazing quote from Brene Brown:
"One of the most dangerous things about shame...is called comparative suffering. We rank order suffering...And the thing is compassion is not a pizza. It's not finite. It's not like there are 8 slices of compassion and in order for you to get some, I need less. Compassion? Empathy? Infinite. It grows exponentially. It doesn't matter that you don't have the worst darkest, hardest, story in the world. If you have shame...that [shame] needs to heal."
-this list that was on the Huffington Post.
-my therapist and all her wisdom.
-doing a bit of artwork
-a quiet afternoon
-seeing all the red equal signs on fb. Change is coming. I'm a little surprised that it hasn't come already, but it's coming. I guess I feel the same way about spring this year. (Spring is a big deal for me so I'm not trying to minimize this huge issue with something minute.) Winter has been so long and so stupid that it seems unending. But spring will come. It literally has to. There's no stopping it. It might not be today or tomorrow, but it's only a matter of time. It will come. And when it does, it will be awesome.
-Hope.
-bartending
-small talk with new people. I'm not usually good at small talk, but the bar is this nice protector that makes me feel more comfortable to do that.
-bartender training. We got to sample a bunch of beers which was really nice.
-the basics
-as always, my friends
