Gratitude on the go! 8-12-14

Today I am grateful for:
-a relaxing day at home.
-one last adventure into Portland!
This incredible ice cream place!
And of course Voodoo Doughnuts.
Because duh.
-walking around Portland seeing parks and cute stores.
-meeting up with Jaime's friends and having dinner
-Jaime being so amazing and hosting me for this trip. It was simply outstanding and just what I needed. So wonderful.

Gratitude on the go! 8-11-14

Today I am grateful for:
-a relaxing morning/afternoon watching scary movies.
-an adventure at the Oregon Garden!
So beautiful and so much milk.
-Robin Williams. The great comedian was found dead this morning. Evidence points to him taking his own life. I cannot express how sad this makes me. Depression is a lying mother fucker and I'm so upset that it won the battle he was fighting. As someone who suffers from bouts of depression I know how hard and awful it can be. There is always help. No one is alone. It feels like that sometimes, but there is always, always help. Thank you for all your amazing laughs you gave to the world, Robin Williams. Thank you for inspiring me and making my childhood a magical time with your incredible characters. You will be missed.
-these quotes:

"Look past your thoughts, so you may drink the pure nectar of this moment."
"Keep in mind that neither success nor failure is ever final."
-my support system. Even if I don't call upon them I'm aware that they're there and will help and go to bat for me if I need them to.

-the basics
-as always, my friends

Today I am grateful for:
-a hiking adventure in Silver Falls State Park!
A waterfall!
So many beautiful views and hilarious signs
These two adorable goobers
Don't go chasing waterfalls!
On top of a mountain!
-ending the day with homemade pizza
OM NOM NOM NOM

Gratitude on the go! 8-9-14

Today I am grateful for:
-being able to go to lizgibbs wedding. It was stunning. Jaime, Trevor, Litza, and I drove for about an hour to the middle of nowhere where this incredibly beautiful vineyard was located. Wild turkeys roamed as well as horses and cows and everything was so green. There was also no reception since it was in the boonies. We all settled in for the the ceremony, which was literally 15 minutes long, and the rest was a giant party! They served us hors d'oeuvres, endless freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade (as well as an open bar), there was a live band and so much more! It was so wonderful to catch up with Gibbs and celebrate her big day! I am still so honored that she invited me to the wedding!
The gorgeous view of the vineyard.
These gorgeous ladies
The beautiful bride and groom
The Dessert Buffet
Gotta love chocolate sewers. :-P
A parting gift for all the guests
A just one more compilation of the venue. Incredible.
